THIRTEENTH SUNDAY OF THE YEAR YB

Jesus heals a despised woman and a powerless child … we pray that the Church will always side with the poor and powerless ones, those despised and rejected by the world, and in the name of Christ stand with them until their dignity is recognised

                                                    [Response]                  Heal Your People…

That the two year Global Synod will listen to the voices of women and all those on the edges of the Church and lead to genuine equality for all women in Church; for the protection of all children so that they may grow whole and safe; for women and children so vulnerable in arenas of conflict and war, poverty and injustice

                                                    [Response]                  Heal Your People…

‘Death was not of God’s doing’ says the Book of Wisdom – we pray for the peace of a war-torn world, for an end to all nuclear weapons and the arms trade; for the persecuted Christian communities, especially in the Middle East – may we repent of being death-bearers instead of life-givers

                                                    [READER]                    LORD WE PRAY…
                                                    [Response]                  Heal Your People…

That God will ever guide us to work effectively together to continue to build a healing and life-giving community in the Inner City, seeking unity in mission with our Christian partner churches

                                                    [Response]                  Heal Your People…

St Paul calls us today to share with the poor with a generous heart: we pray for the work of the Society of St Vincent de Paul, our Borderlands Charity and the Wild Goose Café, serving the most excluded and for all who bring their poverty and need to our community

                                                    [Response]                  Heal Your People…

Jesus spent himself to bring healing to the wounded and broken, so we pray for the sick and housebound, especially  …. ;

for those who have died recently especially …. , and those killed in the collapsed flats in Miami and all who have died because of war, poverty and Covid,
for all whose anniversaries are at this time, in particular

                                                    [READER]                    LORD WE PRAY…
                                                    [Response]                  Heal Your People…

Mary, Servant of Healing and Sign of Wholeness, pray with us for all God’s People
                                                                                             HAIL MARY…
