Jesus says ‘The Kingdom of God is like a great tree with branches that give shelter to all’ … we pray for the Church in every place that formed by the Eucharist we will be everywhere a community of welcome, accepting and valuing every person, creating a home for all the nations to live together in peace

Jesus says, ‘The Kingdom of God is like the seed that grows in the hidden places and yields a harvest’ … we pray the seeds of peace will grow in the hearts of the men and women of violence and one day yield a harvest of unbreakable peace and justice, especially in Yemen, the Cameroon, Mali and Myanmar

Jesus says ‘The Kingdom of God is like a tiny seed that becomes the great shrub’ … we pray that seeds of faith and love sown in the hearts of our children being baptised in the coming weeks, or preparing to meet Jesus in the Eucharist; and our young people who were confirmed in the Holy Spirit at Pentecost will grow and bear fruit as mature adult disciples of faith and witness

‘We are intent on pleasing the Lord’ says St Paul … we pray for the Root and Branch Synod and Pope Francis call to all of us to engage in the Global Church Synod in the coming two years – may each help us to listen to one another and to discern what the Spirit is saying to the Church in our time, drawing us towards profound renewal and reform

‘The tree of faith stretches our its branches to welcome the birds of the air’ … may the Spirit make us a Church of unconditional welcome and love, a healing community where no-one is a stranger but all beloved sisters and brothers who have come home
